Many of us are so wrapped up in the differences between our candidates that we fail to remember how fortunate we are. These candidates are all eager to fix the climate, fix our failing education systems, fix our horrific medical insurance problems, make sure criminal justice is fair, fix racism in our country, and we forget to acknowledge how each and every one of these people is a stellar, unique, honest, creative, brilliant person.In the next five days, four of the candidates are coming: Amy Klobuchar to Claremont; Andrew Yang on New Year’s Day to Salt hill; Elizabeth Warren to the Hanover Inn; and, Mayor Pete to Claremont!
Let’s all look forward to a successful 2020!
Absentee Ballots Available
Absentee Ballots for the February 11, 2020 Presidential Primary are available at the City Clerk’s office during regular business hours. There is no early voting in New Hampshire, however, qualified voters can vote by absentee ballots.

Executive Order 2019-08, on infants in the workplace for the executive branch (issued on Dec. 9) is packaged as a family-friendly equivalent of paid family leave. In fact, it’s a lump of coal in our stockings: It applies only to executive branch employees, not all families, and having to bring your kids to work with you is the opposite of having comprehensive family leave guaranteed by state law.
