Life goes on…

Desperately seeking positive thoughts . . . There are a few things we can do . . . Making masks for the heroes at DHMC would be productive . . . Writing postcards will push things forward. If we’re over 60 or compromised in any way, figure out how to get supplies without physically going out or by following the instructions below carefully . . . Use local merchants and services as much as you can . . . And if you are young and healthy, try reaching out to someone who isn’t.

Use this email as a reference for up-to-date information and we’ll keep adding to it as clear information comes our way.

We have provided links to peak interest in the electoral college’s efficacy and hope to keep the conversation alive. This arcane tradition in our elections is confounding and should be kept front and center as an issue that needs to be eradicated or updated.

There is some weird comfort in knowing that we’re all in this together and that we’ll get through it together. We need to stay home and stay healthy!

Events move on line with COVID-19 disruption!

Admittedly, we are sailing in un-chartered waters! With a scrambled, bumbled Biden event on Facebook Live to confusion about what should be postponed, what should be cancelled, the entire country is living without any script to follow. The population has stepped up en masse and we couldn’t be prouder to be taking precautionary measures to put this virus down for good. That doesn’t mean there aren’t glitches and disappointments along the way.

Meeting platforms and webinar software is being tested and sometimes works like a charm and other times not so much. People will figure it out.

What all of this means is that cancellations and changes are happening at lightening speed and we need to stay tuned in. The UVDems first foray into online programming will take place during the previously scheduled date and time–March 23 at 6:30.

There will be a Facebook Live feed provided and a backup video to watch later. The subject could not be more timely–the Electoral College–should it (can it) be repealed? So stay tuned and we will provide you with the tools to participate.

This is a game changer for everyone so patience is appreciated. We are dearly hoping that everyone stays healthy, well-fed, and can make the best of this terrible situation.

And don’t forget the Democratic Presidential Primary Debate!
