Voters only need one form for requesting an absentee ballot for both the primary and general elections. And voters can check off a box that indicates concerns with Covid-19. If you have the original form, it is equally valid.
CHECK YOUR REGISTRATION AND FILL OUT YOUR ABSENTEE BALLOT REQUEST FORM.
With 5 business days left before the Primary, drop your absentee ballot off at the clerk’s office. Make sure you ring the bell at the clerk’s office window and speak to someone before you drop your absentee ballot in the dropbox.
If you can’t download and print an absentee ballot request form, contact your Town or City Clerk. Consider filling out the request form while you are at the Clerk’s office and returning it then.
When you get the form, follow these steps:
In Section II: Check the box…I am unable to vote in person due to concern for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19)
In Section III: Check both…State Primary Election in September & State General Election in November
In Section IV: Applicant’s Signature…Electronic signatures are not accepted by the State of New Hampshire for voting purposes. Sign by hand in ink!

Sometimes scheduling becomes a morass that is no one’s fault but everyone’s loss. That is what Wednesday, June 10 has become. We have a Mascoma Forward monthly meeting, the Lebanon Dems are hosting Dan Feltes for a Q&A like the one they had for Andy Volinsky last month, a Coordinated Campaign phone bank, and an Annie Kuster event. All on the same day; all around the same time!
The very good news is that you’ll be able to see a video of the Dan Feltes event on our home page; there are many phone bank opportunities coming up (click link); and Annie is having an event on the 18th as well. So pick what you’d like to participate in and check in on the other events later.
The important event NOT on June 10th is the UVDems June program on the 22nd at 7 p.m. The subject is voter suppression–front and center. This is an issue we need to address over and over until something is done. As you can see below, Sununu has vetoed a bill to create an independent redistricting committee. This indicates a few things but the obvious one is that correcting the gerrymandering in this state would be a bad thing for the Republicans. Come to our Zoom program, find out what is being done and what we can do to fix this very troubling problem.
And if you haven’t requested your Absentee Ballot, download the request form today, fill it in, and send it off.
