Respect in the Political Arena

6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Hanover Black Recreation Center, Hanover

Potluck 6 p.m. Program 6:30 p.m.

Andru Volinsky (Sanders campaign) and Mike Vlacich (Clinton campaign) come together, in  Respect in the Political Arena, to describe how, in 2016, they tried to conduct a respectful primary campaign supporting opposing candidates. This will set the tone for uniting all Democrats in 2020.

It’s a potluck! But no RSVP required. We would rather spend your money on local candidates that on food.

Join us at our biennially fundraiser (we are raising funds in 2019 to leave the field free for local Democratic candidates in 2020). This year, we need to raise around $7,000 to fund our monthly programs, to support local candidates with smaller war chests, and to cover the campaign office in autumn 2020.

Whether you can join us or not, please consider making a contribution or buying raffle tickets, both at this link!

Help us help your local and state Democratic candidates prevail in the 2020 elections. The more you give, the more candidates we can help.

WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 23

This is CATCH-UP week. We have provided you with videos and an audio of programs you may have missed or want to see/hear again. Read about and then watch Monday’s program about women in politics.

THEN

Get ready for the UVDems biennial fundraiser (see details below). We hope to make enough to be able to give nice boosts to our local candidates, continue to fund our monthly Monday night programs, and we will need some money to support an office for the general campaign. It’s not all about taking, we are also having a raffle with tickets, gift certificates to local restaurants and opportunities with a very high possibility of winning.
There will be the rousing discussion between Andru Volinsky (Sanders campaign) and Mike Vlacich (Clinton campaign). They will describe how, in 2016, they tried to conduct a respectful primary campaign supporting opposing candidates.

There are opportunities to meet candidates for state and national office (Sanders is coming on Sunday) and while you’re at it, you might consider running to be a delegate to the national convention.

Hope to see you in October!
